Raising a hand is asking for consent from the moderator of a chat room to be able to join in and speak. Without permission, you do not have the authority to perform these actions.
Just recently, Clubhouse users received two invites, which you could share with a friend provided that they have a phone number. Before that, you could visit Clubhouse's official website to reserve a username for future use.
Drop-in audio chat is a form of chat that Clubhouse is known for. As the name suggests, you can drop in on any chat room and take part in any kind of conversation as long as you want.
If you choose to leave a chat room without being noticed, then the app gives you the option to do so. You will see a peace button; tap on that. This will take you outside the chat room without a stir.

After you tap on the chat room you are currently active in, tap on the microphone icon to mute it. To redo, tap on the mic icon once again.
After you join a room, you need to "raise your hand" to be granted permission to speak. Without it, moderators will not allow you to speak since it will be hard to manage a chat room with countless people trying to speak at the same time.
After you open up the application, tap on the calendar icon that is located at the top. When you tap on the plus icon on the menu that shows up, you can set your schedule.
