It is also one of the most populated social media platforms and plays an important role in the social media world. It offers many options, one of them is creating events. That is why people ask how to create an event on Facebook.

Facebook has grown majorly in recent years and became a game-changer on the internet. Surely, it changed the perspective of many things including arranging stuff on the internet. 

Today event management is not only in the hands of event companies. The internet has developed so much in recent years that almost every business is on the internet now. Especially social media plays an important role in this.

It is possible to create an event on Facebook. You can do it with either a Personal Page or a Business Page. If you have a business that requires gathering people, creating events on Facebook should be very efficient for you. Or you can just go ahead and create an event from your personal profile.

It is possible to create events both with a Personal Page and a Business Page. Creating an event on Facebook is a great way to gather people for any purpose. It can be either for business and pleasure.

When you create an event, a notification will be sent to your invited guests. 

The first thing you should do is click on the ‘Create’ button on your feed. Select ‘Event’ from the drop down menu. Then you can select many things about your event on the event page.

Creating a Private Event

When you have selected the ‘Event’ option, you should choose whether its a public or a private event. Be sure to select this because it can be overlooked. You can change the privacy of the event from the top left side of the pop-up page. 

If you start creating a Private Event, you cannot change it to Public afterwords. This is for the privacy of your guests. 

Then the next thing you can do is picking images for your event. You can add photos, choose a theme, or a video. You can do these from the ‘Event Photo or Video’ section. You will see two buttons that say ‘Choose a Theme’ and ‘Upload Photo or Video.’ 

You will also see the Recommended Themes below. You can pick one of them to make the process quicker.

Then the next step you should do is adding the Event Name, Location, and Description. You will see their boxes on the same pop-up page as well.

Then you will add the timing details of your event. You will see two boxes. One of them is a calendar to arrange the date and time of your event and the other one is a clock. You can change the time zone by the button next to the clock. If you want, you can add an End Time, but this is not mandatory.

Lastly, you can add Co-hosts. There will be two boxes for you to click on to choose ‘Guest can invite friends’ and ‘Show guest list.’

Creating a Public Event

Creating a Public Event is not very different creating a Public one. However, there are some different options on the Public Event adjustments. 

The very first step to take is clicking on the ‘Events’ button on the left column. Then click on ‘Create Event.’

The pop-up page is pretty much the same as a Private Event, but now you can select a host if you have more than one Facebook page. 

Then you get to choose a photo or a video for your event. There are no Themes in this option. After this, you select Event Name, Location, and Description just like before.

Another difference here is selecting a Category for your event. You will see this option in a box. Click on the drop down arrow to see the Categories.

Next, you will select Frequency and start and end date.

You can write the keywords for your event in the ‘Details’ section. Then select the other details that have little boxes to click next to them.

Add information about Admission for your event to let people how to attend your event. 

Lastly, choose the options about your guests and who can post on your event wall.
