How to Block the Ads on YouTube?

How to Block the Ads on YouTube?

YouTube is a video streaming platform. You can find almost anything on YouTube. It is like Google with video results. However, when you are enjoying this platform, there are ads. The ads on YouTube can be pretty annoying because they interrupt your video, and you have to skip them once they fill out 5 seconds. Even sometimes, these ads cannot be skipped.

There are several ad types on YouTube. The most common ones are the video ads that you can see at the start of the video. Then there are the same ad types that you can see in the middle of the video, and at the end of it. These ads can be very annoying and negatively affect your video experience, which makes you watch videos from another platform.

The most bearable ad type on YouTube is the ones that appear as subtitles at the bottom of the screen. You can easily skip them by clicking the ‘x’ icon. However, if you are not close to a mouse, it can be annoying as well.

How Can You Get Rid of YouTube Ads

How Can You Get Rid of YouTube Ads?

We have mentioned how annoying can YouTube ads be. Although they were not a big issue 1 or 2 years ago, now the amount of ads rapidly increased on YouTube. There are two main ways to get rid of the ads on YouTube. One of the ways is to buy YouTube Premium membership.

YouTube Premium

Just like the premium membership option of Spotify, YouTube Premium is a great way to remove ads from YouTube. The premium membership offers more than just watching the videos without ads. You can download YouTube videos to watch them offline, background play videos on mobile devices, access to YouTube Music Premium, and watch YouTube Originals.

All of these features are great, but of course, it has a price. You can get YouTube Premium individually or for your family and pay a monthly fee. If you don’t want to deal with paying money, you can use ad blockers.

Using Ad Blockers

Ad blockers are plugins that you download for your browsers such as Google Chrome or Internet Explorer or Yandex. Ad blockers might be a better option if you want all ads on the internet to be gone.

If you are using Google Chrome, it offers its own ad blocker in the Chrome web store, named AdBlock. The best thing about it is that it is a free ad blocker.
